Portraits

I have a love for painting portraits and for me it felt a natural progression to use my love of light, colour and expression that I use in my landscape work. Portraiture provides me a unique opportunity to connect with the sitter either directly from life or indirectly in my own studio. Capturing both likeness and emotion is something I feel passionate about. I’m continually influenced by the work of other portrait artists but have a special interest in the work by the CBPP and especially Jane French, Tom Croft and Samira Addo
