About

I remember the love of having paper and pencil in hand to draw happily for hours at a time as a child growing up. During my working life I ignored my inner artistic voice but as this got increasingly louder, I made the choice to listen. Since that point I’ve been constantly evolving my process in an effort to better translate my internal response to a subject in a way that speaks as loudly to the viewer as it does to me. In all my works I strive to convey a sense of connection and emotion through expressive brush marks, tonal contrast and colour.

Based in Derbyshire since 1990 I’m originally from Nottingham, with a career in Tech across various sectors. In late 2025 I finished to follow my dream.

In 2025 I was selected to appear on the 11th series of Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2026 and appeared in Heat 5 aboard the HMS Wellington on the river Thames in London.
